Therapy Sciences Master Of Science in SRH Hochschule Heidelberg

Master's degree in therapeutic sciences

Are you already trained in therapy and see yourself as a team player? Would you like to base your work on scientific knowledge? Then the master's program in therapeutic sciences is the right thing for you. Against the background of demographic change, the demands on the therapeutic professions have risen sharply: increasingly complex clinical pictures require interdisciplinary approaches and therefore close cooperation with other professional groups. Against this background, evidence-based treatment methods play an increasingly important role. In the master's program in therapeutic sciences, you will further expand your competencies and prepare yourself scientifically, clinically and practically for the new fields of activity of the therapeutic profession.

This course is for you if you ...

  • ... are interested in clinically oriented research and want to deepen your skills in this area.
  • … Want to deal with evidence-based approaches in neurorehabilitation or pediatrics.
  • … Strive to put new concepts into practice.
  • … Want to live interprofessionalism.
  • ... like to work in a team.
  • ... are interested in teaching.

Our philosophy is to combine teaching, practice and research under one roof. Clinical and research methodological course content is conveyed in an application-oriented manner. You learn from accompanying projects or case studies and can apply, practice and further improve the knowledge and skills acquired in the practical transfer module under the guidance of mentors. You also have the opportunity to actively participate in the faculty's ongoing teaching and research projects or to implement your own application-related research questions under supervision in the in-house outpatient clinics.

Science matters!

Acquire scientific and clinical research skills! Do active research in your work area, integrate scientific knowledge into therapeutic action and become more effective for your patient! Help strengthen the foundation of the therapeutic sciences with new knowledge, in order to pave the way for successful treatment strategies.

Learn Interprofessionalism

Pull together! Get to know the different therapeutic approaches in an interprofessional setting so that you can later work effectively in a team. Study together with fellow students from other therapy areas, benefit from each other in learning groups and from an interdisciplinary team of lecturers.

Decide and treat together

Get to know models and procedures of other therapeutic professions in seminars. Discuss common goals, examination and treatment strategies in interprofessional teams based on concrete patient examples and situations. Train to bring in your own expertise, tailored to the other therapeutic professions involved.

Choose your focus ...

  • Neurorehabilitation or
  • pediatrics

In these areas, you will develop evidence-based interprofessional skills, which will be supplemented by the teaching and management skills imparted in modules 4 and 5. In addition, you can expand your competency profile with the elective offered in the "Professionalization" module (eg leadership, rhetoric).
