This undergraduate course prepares you scientifically based for the complex work as a physiotherapist. Detailed diagnostic procedures enable increasingly more individual treatment options, including diseases of the musculoskeletal system, internal organs and neurological diseases. As a physiotherapist, you not only know their scientific background, but can also create optimized treatment plans. In addition to their studies, they also receive professional recognition as "state-recognized physiotherapists", just as with training at a technical school.

Goals of the course

  • Knowledge of medical and psychological backgrounds on the development and function of the human body and its disorders
  • Ability to select and perform appropriate diagnostic techniques

Medical course content
You will acquire a sound specialist knowledge in the fields of anatomy, physiology and pathology in the fields of orthopedics, traumatology, internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, oncology and geriatrics.

Practical training on the patient
The practical training (at least 1,600 hours in the teaching clinic and external cooperation partners) can be completed in various facilities (e.g. hospital, rehabilitation center, physiotherapy practice). The knowledge acquired regarding various types of disorders and their diagnosis and treatment can be applied here in practice.

Meeting future requirements with professional competence

This course qualifies you to work as a physiotherapist. They work in various institutions in the health system, e.g. B. hospitals, rehabilitation centers, medical practices, sports clubs or as a self-employed person in their own practice. After completing the course, there is also the option of continuing to complete a master's degree. Thus, the scientific competence for an academic career can be acquired with the option to do a doctorate or the ability to work in a managerial position in a health care facility.
