Although diploma or vocational programs are sufficient to acquire entry-level positions, many management level positions require a bachelors degree. Yorkville University has developed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) that provides a broad-spectrum business education to working professionals and entrepreneurs who seek career advancement. The BBA program is flexible and accessible, allowing students to transfer previous academic credits towards elective courses and finish in as few as 2.5 years depending on their course load and/or number of transfer credits from previous post-secondary study.
The BBA at Yorkville University is not a self-directed program, where students study in isolation. Highly qualified instructors bring practical, collaborative, and up-to-date business knowledge to the online community of this program. The small class sizes and virtual classrooms allow for meaningful interactions so students develop strong networks with their fellow students and faculty.
Yorkville University’s delivery model encourages students to stay motivated, finish their degree faster, and to realize the benefits of having a degree in terms of increased salary and increased opportunities for leadership roles.
Since many of our students are working adults, the BBA program builds upon the skills acquired from a diploma and experiences obtained in the workplace, giving our graduates the managerial capabilities and problem-solving skills that employers require of their managers and business leaders. Courses are structured to help students understand a range of theoretical and functional applications in business through the following key features:
BBA students become well-versed in theoretical business concepts and skills and also gain experience applying these concepts and skills to real-world contexts.
