About Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics in St. Clair College

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Students in the Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics program will gain a solid foundation in programmable logic controllers, electronics, computer-aided design, mechanical systems, computer and robot programming, sensors and actuators. Graduates will be prepared to program, troubleshoot and maintain robots and automated production systems along with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Graduates will also be equipped to assist in the application and design of robotic systems, their manufacture and testing.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Six new Cognex Vision systems incorporated into our robot cells to teach Robot Vision Systems.
  • Students learn robotic programming skills on different robot platforms including ABB and Fanuc.
  • Students graduate with a diverse skill set that prepares them for in-demand, high paying careers in our local area.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
