About the Program
The eight-month Art Fundamentals (AFD) certificate program provides a strong foundation in traditional and digital art. Designed to build skills in art, design, creativity, communication and critical thinking, AFD will prepare you for further education and a career path in fields such as animation, illustration and graphic design. You will experience hands-on learning under the guidance of working artists.
This program will equip you with the knowledge and grounds to apply to other specialized art programs.
Your Career
Upon completion of this program, you will be prepared to pursue a further postsecondary education in communication arts and traditional arts which may lead to a career path in the visual art industry.
