Career Opportunities

Continuing Care Assistants are often called Special Care Aides. They work under the supervision of registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses or licensed practical nurses in home care settings, special care facilities (such as nursing homes), hospitals, and integrated facilities.

Demand for this occupation is growing and so are the job opportunities due to factors such as an aging population, longer life expectancies, shorter hospital stays, and more outpatient treatment.
