About Commercial Fixed Wing Pilot in Canadore College
This two-year program, delivered in partnership with Essential Helicopters, will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to become a Commercial Fixed Wing Pilot. Learn in the classroom and through hands-on practical labs and flight training, and develop the required skills to complete the Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence written examination and practical flight test.

The specified training will provide you with a solid foundation in aviation practices, allowing you to obtain work in a variety of positions in the aviation industry. Academic qualification equivalents
- Class 12 passed students from a recognized board including CBSE, CISCE or a state board
- All India Senior School Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12 or Indian School Certificate (Year 12) as recognized qualifications
English language requirements (one of the below):
IELTS: You must have a minimum overall band score of 5.5 on the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or equivalent accepted English language proficiency test to be admitted to a postsecondary program at the college.
Please note, some Whitireia degree level programmes require a higher level of English language competence.
