About Diploma Of Screen & Media in Collarts (Australian College of the Arts)
The Diploma of Screen & Media will provide students with a knowledge and understanding of film and media production. The course ensures students develop practical skills and experience required to gain employment in the field of screen and media.
Throughout the diploma, you will:
- Create, develop and produce multimedia projects like short films, TV episodes, advertising content, and documentaries;
- Develop an in-depth understanding of screen and media, production, and filmmaking;
- Gain knowledge and experience in filmmaking, pre and post-production, screenwriting, and directing;
- Develop an industry relevant portfolio of creative projects;
- Partake in sought-after internships and experiences.
Academic qualification equivalents
- High school transcripts that demonstrate successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. These transcripts must be certified and translated (if originals are not in English).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent (TOEFL or PTE equivalent can also be accepted). Applicants for the Diploma of Entertainment Journalism will require an IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.5) or equivalent. Collarts can also recommend English language colleges with a direct pathway if you need to study English before you start.

Collarts (Australian College of the Arts) ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
As well as a successful interview and/or audition, and/or submission of personal statement, you must be able to submit the following documents:
- Copy of high school transcripts that demonstrate successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. These transcripts must be certified and translated (if originals are not in English).
- A copy of English test score results from the last 18 months, evidencing IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent (TOEFL or PTE equivalent can also be accepted). Applicants for the Diploma of Entertainment Journalism will require an IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.5) or equivalent. Collarts can also recommend English language colleges with a direct pathway if you need to study English before you start.
- Certified copy of your passport.
- Certified copy of your current visa, if you are currently residing in Australia.
