The Screen & Media degree is perfect for people wanting to produce the next generation of film and TV. Students will learn how to create cutting-edge media, with a focus on storytelling techniques and new filmmaking technologies. You will be taught and mentored by industry experts who are currently working within diverse sectors of the industry including screen, media, pre and post production, screenwriting, and directing.
With a focus on screenwriting, filmmaking, documentary-making, distribution, and marketing strategies, you will gain the knowledge and skills to develop and manage a career in various screen and media industries. Collarts offers students a variety of real-life industry experiences so that they are career-ready when they graduate. Students will have opportunities to apply their studies by partaking in sought-after internships and develop the necessary skills to succeed nationally and internationally.
You will also work closely with students from other courses—including music, audio and fashion—to gain a well-rounded understanding of creative industries.
The Bachelor of Screen & Media will provide students with a knowledge and understanding of film and media production. The course ensures students develop practical skills and experience required to gain employment in the field of screen and media. The degree can be completed in six trimesters (two years) of full-time study.
