The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is a national research university that acts as a regional and global intellectual, economic, and cultural catalyst. We are a leading educational and research institution in business, engineering, health care, and health sciences, teaching, and the liberal and creative arts. We are located in the SouthCoast region of Massachusetts and draw on the region's strengths to offer unique programmes in marine sciences and biomedical engineering and biotechnology.
We have 12 doctoral programmes and 39 master's degree programmes available, with options to study on campus, online, or a combination of both. The College of Arts and Sciences, the Charlton College of Business, the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing & Health Sciences, the College of Visual & Performing Arts, the School for Marine Science & Technology, and UMass Law are seven of our eight colleges and schools that offer graduate programmes.

The New England Commission of Higher Education has recognised UMass Dartmouth (NECHE). The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have named UMass Dartmouth a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity - Cyber Research (CAE-R).
