The University of Florida is a public research university in Florida that is regarded among the best in the country (USA). The institution was founded in September 1906 in Gainesville, Florida, and has been in operation since since. In 1985, the Association of American Universities (AAU) sent an invitation to the University of Florida. The AAU is a group of 62 institutions from the United States and Canada.
