The University of Delaware is a research university that was founded in 1743. It was first known as Alison College, then Delaware College, and finally, the University of Delaware, which was established in 1921. The institution established the School of Law and the School of Health Science in 2011. A total of 200 students enrolled in the law and health sciences programme.
The university's campus first opened in 1891, featuring a Recitation Hall designed by renowned architect Frank Furness. It has four housing halls as well as an HRIM department. Within the campus, the Centre for Arts and the School of Music were constructed. The first theatre classes were held in 2006. In the same year, the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature was established. In 2013, only a few new residential halls were constructed. Furthermore, the campus is noted for having a pleasant learning atmosphere and is close to medical stores and other shops that supply students with necessary necessities. The residential structures are well-kept and well-organized.
