Established in 1967, Conestoga now serves approximately 16,500 full-time students through campuses and training centres in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford, Ingersoll and Brantford and is a provincial leader in apprenticeship training. Conestoga delivers more than 200 career-focused programs, and has more degree offerings than any other college outside of the GTA, including Ontario’s only college-based, accredited engineering degrees. Conestoga College operates a number of child care centres throughout Waterloo Region that offer quality early learning and care for children and function as lab schools for post-secondary college programs. The program of each child care centre is guided by the philosophy taught to the Early Childhood education students. It has been developed using a thoughtfully constructed curriculum design that draws upon evidence-based research in the fields of early learning and care. Labs equipped with the latest technology, project-based courses, field and clinical experiences, international exchange, applied research and co-op opportunities engage students as they learn to connect theory, research and practice.
Student Engagement (formerly known as Student Life) recognizes each student's potential to develop, both personally and professionally, while at college. Conestoga College's Co-Curricular Record (CCR) enhances student growth and development.
