About Engineering Management - Master's (m.s.) in University of Texas At Arlington
The Engineering Management Program is offered as an interdisciplinary program that integrates engineering and business concepts. The curriculum prepares an experienced professional engineer or scientist for a leadership role in planning, developing, and managing firm's technological resources including people, technology, and processes. Graduates acquire an understanding of how to use the technical base to accomplish the organization's operational, strategic, and competitive objectives. This program is offered in partnership with the College of Business.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Master of Science in engineering management degree program introduces both engineering and business tools to engineering professionals who will be moving into leadership positions in product development, strategic planning, or managing the organization’s technology resources. Graduates develop an understanding of how to use an organization’s technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet their strategic objectives.
Students in the MS in engineering management program may select from different options to complete their program, including course work (10 classes), capstone (nine courses and an application-oriented research paper), or thesis (eight courses and a thesis). Students work with an advisor to determine the best option and courses for their needs.
