About Environmental Studies Program in University of Tampa
The Environmental Studies undergraduate degree is a broad, interdisciplinary program designed for students interested in the scientific, social, political, economic and expressive aspects of global environmental issues. Awareness of the intersections between these issues are more apparent now than ever, particularly regarding the threat of climate change and how it affects not just the environment, but our economy, society, politics and daily lives. This program will prepare students for professional opportunities within the various dimensions of global environmental issues, and how these issues are managed, communicated and improved upon.
A bachelor of science, bachelor of arts, minor in environmental studies and minor in sustainability are offered within this program.
The B.S. in Environmental Studies is ideal for students wishing to specialize in a major concentration. Curriculum for these students will focus on one of four concentrations:
- Communication
- Humanity and Geography
- Natural Sciences
- Public Policy
