About Nursing in University of South Dakota
Our four-year Bachelor of Science in nursing degree prepares you to meet the increasingly complex demands of the health care profession. You'll learn in a rich and unique environment from registered nurse educators offering academic expertise and real-world experience from a variety of clinical areas. Undergraduates are initially admitted as pre-nursing students and must apply to the B.S.N. program.
Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurses (NCLEX-R.N.), for licensure as a registered nurse (R.N.). You'll feel confident taking the NCLEX, as our students' pass rates rank above both state and national averages.
