About Chemical Engineering, B.s.ch.e. in University of Houston
Transfer credit for chemical engineering courses may be accepted only from chemical engineering programs which are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Once a student has attempted their first 6 hours in the major (all engineering XXXX 1331 courses, CHEE 2331 or CHEE 2332), they are required to maintain a (cumulative) GPA of 2.25 or higher to continue in the major. The major GPA of 2.25 must be maintained at all times until the last semester before graduation.
Completion of all the chemistry courses at the University of Houston in this degree plan qualifies for a minor in chemistry. An official minor degree plan must be filed in the major department in the spring semester of the junior year. Prerequisites and/or corequisites must be met.
