About Sustainable Engineering, Graduate Certificate in University of Alabama At Birmingham

In fact, in this program, we can train you on the law, liability, and management side of sustainable engineering, so you can have the tools to enhance your career. Once you're enrolled, you'll complete a curriculum of 15 credit hours, including one required course in construction project management and four graduate-level electives in sustainable engineering, such as Green Building Design, Environmental Law, Sustainable Construction, or Engineering Management. In the end, you'll not only have your certificate, but you'll be able to apply up to 12 credit hours toward an MS in Civil Engineering here at UAB if you choose.
- Up to 12 credit hours can be applied toward an MS in civil engineering.
A bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
English Language Requirements
TOEFL (UAB code: 1856):
- TOEFL (minimum composite score of 80 and a minimum score of 20 for each section) and TWE for international applicants whose native language is not English.
IELTS: 6.5 overall with at least a 6.0 on each section of the examination
