Are you an experienced health care leader who seeks the rigor of a high-quality academic experience while you continue to excel both professionally and personally? If so, our DSc program at UAB is ideal for you.
In fact, we specifically designed our curriculum to prepare executives like you to be more effective leaders and proactive problem solvers, well-equipped to address complex industry challenges. Here, you’ll join an exclusive cohort of diverse senior health care leaders from across the country. Like you, they understand how important a safe space to learn is, they want to discuss complex problems, and they seek to exchange novel solutions that will move the industry forward. Because of your already demanding schedule, we developed a blended format that requires only three on-campus sessions per year. The remainder of your coursework will be delivered via a flexible but structured online learning experience. During your first two years, you’ll expand your analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills, deepen your knowledge of operations, and get opportunities to apply concepts as you set strategy and lead in your organization. Finally, during your last year, you will focus on applied dissertation research that adds to your body of knowledge and addresses real organizational and industry challenges.
