About Psychological Sciences ‣ Masters in Purdue University
The Neuroscience and Behavior graduate program offers state-of-the-art training in a diverse spectrum of research topics, including study of a broad range of behaviors (including eating and drinking, motor and eye movement, reward processing, decision-making, problem solving, verbal behavior, perception, attention, learning/memory, cognition, social interaction, and sleep) as well as animal and human models of disorders and diseases (including diet and eating disorders, psychiatric disorders related to substance use , post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and psychoses, developmental and genetic disorders, brain injury and neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, dementia and other aging-related cognitive disorders). The program also offers state-of-the-art training in an equally diverse set of approaches and techniques, including imaging, electrophysiology, eye-tracking, optogenetics, circuit tracing, animal and human modeling, as well as molecular and genetic approaches. The program also profits from teamwork with other areas in our large, top-ranked Psychological Sciences Department. Faculty participate in collaborations across campus with top-ranked statistical, biomedical, biological, and engineering faculty who are also members of the Purdue Institute of Integrative Neuroscience. Graduates of the program have successfully landed positions in academia as well as in other professional settings including medicine, pharmaceutical and biomedical industries, and health-related businesses.
