About Energy Business And Finance in Pennsylvania State University Park Campus
The major in Energy Business and Finance is offered jointly by the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and the Smeal College of Business.
Energy Business and Finance is a unique major at Penn State that positions students for analytical careers in the energy industries (including fossil energy, renewables, energy efficiency and energy storage, and electric power), as well as financial institutions, nonprofit groups, and international organizations dealing with energy issues. The major combines training in business, economics, finance, and the physical sciences with a core of courses focusing on energy and related industries. The curriculum also provides a strong base for further study in business, economics, law, and social sciences. The major is appropriate for students who want a broad understanding of the earth and environmental sciences in preparation for careers in industry, commerce, and government.
