About Park & Recreation Management (park, Recreation & Tourism Studies, B.s.) in Old Dominion University
The Bachelor of Science degree in Park, Recreation, and Tourism Studies with a concentration in Park and Recreation Management prepares students for careers as professionals working in city/county, state and federal agencies, YMCAs, outdoor leadership schools such as Outward Bound and NOLS, camps, environmental centers, college outdoor programs, and other non-profit organizations. Students graduating from the park and recreation management concentration will meet the requirements to take the national certification exam administered by the National Recreation and Park Association's (NRPA) Certification Board. After passing the national exam, students will become a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and be able to work in a variety of service agencies.
