When you opt for an MSM degree at NJIT's Martin Tuchman School of Management, you have the flexibility also to further concentrate your studies into a specific field of study. This differs from an accredited online MBA degree or a graduate school MBA online, which are quite valuable for those pursuing an MBA but do not offer further concentrations.
A web systems and media concentration within your MSM degree online allows you to develop specific skills that will further prepare you for your chosen profession once you graduate. Not only will you graduate with an MS in management,, but you will also have web systems and media skills beyond those in your field with general MSM degrees.
The marketing world is ever-changing, and as it evolves, those who specialize in its field need to be ready to move with it. Some of the more recent trends that have been vital over the last several decades include learning how to specialize and market on social media platforms, using search engine optimization (SEO) to market on the web, and having strong skills when it comes to online marketing strategies, such as email marketing. This concentration specializes in this expanding area of marketing and teaches students how to operate platforms, applications, and software related to these strategies, and how to implement them.
Anyone who has an undergraduate degree who’s interested in the field of online marketing could potentially be a good candidate for an MSM degree with a web systems and media concentration at NJIT. However, many of our students who select this program have backgrounds and degrees in information technology, journalism, graphic design, computer science, as well as other technical or business-related fields.
Ideally, an MSM degree with an emphasis in web systems and media will prepare you for a managerial position or a development position. Our students have graduated and become front-end developers, leads on product development teams, marketing managers, CTOs, and held other managerial positions.
Graduate applicants are those who have completed, or are in process of completing, the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, either in the U.S. or abroad, and are applying to a graduate or professional program of study (Master's, PhD, LLM, JD). Each graduate program establishes its own application and admission standards and deadlines, which may differ from program to program even within the same department.
