About Chemistry in Michigan Technological University
Chemists create the fabric of our everyday lives (sometimes literally), contributing to the production of chemicals, materials, and products. You’ll be prepared to contribute to the nucleus of chemical advancements in diverse fields.
Choose from either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry at Michigan Tech. As a BA major, you’ll have a liberal arts degree that provides you with a foundation in the chemical sciences while also allowing you to pursue other interests. If you’re looking to continue on to grad school or a career in the chemical sciences, the BS degree is your best option. The BS program allows you to specialize your studies with concentrations in environmental chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry, or chemical physics.
