Informatics Capstone project
The culmination of your education, your senior-year Capstone project focuses on using the tools and techniques you’ve mastered to become a computing and technology professional. Your Capstone may take the form of a thesis, a research project, a for-credit internship, or an applied learning project to develop an information system.
Accelerated studies save you time and money
Our program offers a gateway to accelerated graduate studies. Students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Informatics plus a Master of Science in Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, or Jurisprudence in only 5 years.
Accelerated 4+1 programs are time and cost efficient—allowing you to complete two degrees in five years—with increased career opportunities and earning potential.
LiFT Scholars program
Specifically for informatics majors, the Leading Informatics for Tomorrow (LiFT) Scholars program is funded by the National Science Foundation. When combined with other student and federal aid, it allows recipients to complete their degrees with limited or no educational debt.

Academic qualification equivalents
English language requirements (one of the below):
Students who are admitted with TOEFL iBT of 60-94 or IELTS of 5.5-6.5 will take the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) placement test. Admitted students with Duolingo scores will also be required to take the EAP placement test. Depending on your EAP test results, you may take EAP courses at the same time as your academic major courses for one or two semesters. Your letter of admission will indicate if you are required to take this test.
