About Health Informatics, Bs in George Mason University

The BS in Health Informatics degree program prepares students in the field of health informatics, which integrates health sciences, information technology, computer science, data science, and behavioral sciences. The program combines interdisciplinary knowledge from these areas with practical, specialized skills in health informatics to improve patient care, and individual and population health.

The program may be completed on a full- or part-time basis leading to completion of the objectives of the undergraduate BS program. 

Total credits: 120

Students must fulfill all requirements for bachelor's degrees, including the Mason Core requirements.

• Certified official, original transcripts from all secondary schools as well as official results from any leaving certificates or university entrance exams taken. A certified English translation must be submitted for any documents not already in English. All application materials are property of George Mason University and will not be returned to the applicant, nor shared with another individual, institution, or organization under any circumstances.

TOEFL iBT Undergraduate - Testing code 5827

• Volgenau School of Engineering Undergraduate: 80, no section minimum
• All other undergraduate programs: 80 or higher, minimum of 18 in each subsection

IELTS Undergraduate

• 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each subsection

Pearson Academic Test of English

• A minimum score of 59, all applicants
