About Government And International Politics, BA in George Mason University

Students must fulfill all Requirements for Bachelor's Degrees including the Mason Core. Students pursuing a BA in Government and International Politics must complete additional requirements for the BA degree in the Schar School of Policy and Government.

Students pursuing this degree must complete 43 credits in GOVT and earn a minimum grade of 2.00 in each course applied to the major.

Total credits: minimum 120

Students pursuing a BA in Government and International Politics and wishing to narrow their focus may choose to concentrate in one of eight government fields or complete a higher credit concentration in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.

• Certified official, original transcripts from all secondary schools as well as official results from any leaving certificates or university entrance exams taken. A certified English translation must be submitted for any documents not already in English. All application materials are property of George Mason University and will not be returned to the applicant, nor shared with another individual, institution, or organization under any circumstances.

TOEFL iBT Undergraduate - Testing code 5827

• Volgenau School of Engineering Undergraduate: 80, no section minimum
• All other undergraduate programs: 80 or higher, minimum of 18 in each subsection

IELTS Undergraduate

• 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each subsection

Pearson Academic Test of English

• A minimum score of 59, all applicants
