About Public Health in Eastern Illinois University
The BS in Public Health provides students with two options: Community Health, and Emergency Management Disaster Preparedness. If you are interested in Health Administration, check out the B.S. in Health Administration program. All Public Health majors complete an 8-semester hour, 320-clock hour internship in a workplace setting appropriate to their career goals.
The Department of Public Health includes dedicated academic advising for all students; an internship coordinator who facilitates internship identification, placement, and supervision; and faculty with interdisciplinary training grounded in practical experience.
