About Pre-nursing in Eastern Illinois University
If you are already a nurse and have earned an associate degree, EIU's RN to BSN Completion Program will help you earn your bachelor's degree.
For those who are not currently nurses, Eastern offers two options:
- Traditional 2+2
- Lakeview College of Nursing
In the traditional 2+2 program, students may choose to attend EIU for two years before transferring to any of a number of accredited programs offering a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) and the knowledge and preparation to pass the certification exam required to become a registered nurse (RN).
Since your BSN will be awarded by another institution, you must meet the requirements of that institution. Each program has its own requirements, therefore pertinent to identify their posted requirements. The following websites will provide information on admission requirements, costs, financial aid, etc.
