About Exercise Physiology in Eastern Illinois University
This graduate program offered by the Department of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation provides advanced coursework and training in the area of exercise physiology. The graduate degree program in exercise physiology prepares students for employment in clinical settings (e.g. cardiac rehabilitation), corporate fitness, YMCA, YWCA, strength and conditioning training, the commercial fitness industry, and prepares students who wish to pursue advanced degrees in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The program aids students in preparation for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and other professional certifications.
