About Environmental Engineering in Drexel University

Environmental engineers work diligently to minimize the effect of human activities on the environment, designing systems, policies and processes to protect human, plant and animal populations. They are creating a more sustainable society by combating adverse environmental factors including toxic chemicals and wastes, pathogenic bacteria, global warming and more.
This field builds on many engineering disciplines in tandem with several sciences, enabling students to have diverse approaches to identifying, evaluating and solving complex environmental issues. Graduates of this program will have an understanding of civil, chemical and mechanical engineering, as well as chemistry, physics, hydrology, geology, atmospheric science, and several biology specializations.
