About Chemistry in Drexel University
Offered as both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts, the Chemistry program has the required flexibility to meet student goals while preparing them for a career in research chemistry or another field of science.
The Bachelor of Science path offers zero, one or three co-ops and is intended for students interested in chemistry and its various subfields, either further pursuing it in graduate school or in a range of related industries. Students in this program have a focus on research and laboratory training, enabling a wealth of hands-on experience.
The Bachelor of Arts path offers one co-op and creates foundational knowledge in chemistry with less emphasis on mathematics, intended for students interested in pursuing medicine in graduate school or careers as technicians in biotechnology and forensic firms or the pharmaceutical industry.
