About Healthcare Markets & Analytics (MBA) in DePaul University

Through our Healthcare Markets and Analytics MBA concentration, you’ll become prepared to analyze and use health data to make managerial decisions.

Our MBA in healthcare management program teaches you to use decision-making algorithms that apply data to economic models. Your courses will focus on economics within the health care sector — an industry that accounts for more than one-fifth of the U.S. economy.

In this program, you’ll learn

• How the health care sector is similar to, and different from, the rest of the economy
• How the behavior of the health care sector adheres to and deviates from key economic principles
• The crucial and ever-increasing role of data in guiding the decision-making process of policymakers in the health care industry

All courses for this program are offered in the evening on the Loop Campus. The program can be completed in two years.

The Healthcare Markets and Analytics MBA program is designed to meet the industry-wide need for health care business professionals with exceptional data analysis skills. DePaul’s deep ties to Chicago’s business and health care communities allow you to network with leaders at some of the world’s largest hospitals, medical centers, and health care companies and firms.

Graduate applicants are those who have completed, or are in process of completing, the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, either in the U.S. or abroad, and are applying to a graduate or professional program of study (Master's, PhD, LLM, JD).  Each graduate program establishes its own application and admission standards and deadlines, which may differ from program to program even within the same department.  

The minimum scores for direct admission are a TOEFL score of 80 (ibt), with all section scores at 20 or higher, or an IELTS score of 7.0, with all section scores at 6.5 or higher, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53. We prefer to see scores of 96 (ibt) with all section scores of 22 or better, or a 7.5 on the IELTS. Duolingo English Test scores of 110 and above qualify you for full admission; Duolingo scores of 90-109 qualify for conditional admission. Test scores are official only when received directly from the testing vendor.
