About Communication in Boise State University
A degree in communication prepares students for personal and professional success. Embracing a liberal arts approach to education, students learn to be critical thinkers, creative and confident communicators, collaborative decision makers and engaged citizens. With theoretical and applied learning opportunities, students learn to speak well in front of groups, understand cultural differences, work together in teams, manage conflicts, build strong interpersonal relationships, conduct research and write appropriately for multiple audiences. Students also study topics in communication, culture and advocacy with a focus on preparing for active community and civic engagement.
