About Major In Marketing in Azusa Pacific University
APU’s marketing major prepares students for effective, customer-oriented communication. This Bachelor of Science in Business: Marketing provides a solid business foundation, covering accounting principles, business law, finance, economics, statistics, and international business. Students gain a theoretical academic education integrated with practical marketing and job-related skills, which is ideal for building a career. They also explore how marketing is evolving in today’s online world, and participate in internship opportunities such as Enactus, School of Business and Management leadership positions, and/or marketing projects with community businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Classroom learning is supplemented by internship opportunities that allow for practical application of classroom knowledge. Ethics play a central role in the marketing degree as students are encouraged to examine the intersection of their Christian faith and marketing practices, the principles of ethical decision making, and integrity in the workplace. Students gain a Christian worldview specific to ethical marketing techniques, and leave APU with the tactical and philosophical tools they need to communicate value and meet customer needs.
