About Accountancy, Macc in Arizona State University (ASU)

The Master of Accountancy program is designed for individuals who want to immerse themselves in full-time graduate studies, take classes during the day and fulfill course requirements for the CPA exam in both Arizona and California. Because of the quality of the Master of Accountancy program, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to launch their accounting careers while opening the door to top hiring firms.

As a STEM-designated program, eligible graduates on student visas have access to an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension for up to 36 months. This longer work authorization term may help international students gain additional skills and experience in the U.S.

Academic qualification equivalents

• You must have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that country.

English language requirements

• TOEFL

  Score of at least 550 (pBT) or 80 (iBT). ASU’s institutional code is 4007. ASU accepts only electronic copies of the TOEFL score report.

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

  Overall band score of the academic test of at least 6.5. The general training exam is not accepted. No institutional code is needed.

  Pearson Test of English (PTE)

  Score of at least 60.

  • Federal and State Financial Aid: Lawful status is the primary acquisition for this scholarship accompanied by a social security number that has to be matched with federal records through FAFSA.
