About Subject Knowledge Enhancement in University of Worcester
The Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses are pre-Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses. They will enable you to gain the depth of knowledge needed to train to teach in your chosen subject.
We offer eight week (200 hours) courses in: Biology; Chemistry; Computer Science; Design & Technology (Food); English; Geography; Mathematics; Modern Languages (French); and Physics. We also offer twelve-week courses (300 hours) in Biology, Chemistry or Physics and a sixteen-week course (400 hours) in Biology.
Bursaries are available to eligible applicants. Subject to confirmation from the DfE.
Academic qualification equivalents
- A university degree in a related subject.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with at least a 5.5 in each component
