About French And International Business BA Honours in University of Westminster, London
This three-year or four-year course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge you will need to succeed in the increasingly internationalised business world. It provides the opportunity to study French language, culture and business in an integrated way, exploring the relationships between these elements and the broader economic, financial and cross-cultural contexts in which they are produced. The comprehensive language training places strong emphasis on the day-to-day use of language in a business environment, enabling you to deal with all aspects of business transactions. The training in cross-cultural communication equips you with flexibility and creativity in global interactions.
On successful completion of this degree you will have the rare attributes of both competency in your chosen language and a range of professional skills and knowledge from relevant business areas. You will also be able to experience life, culture and work outside the UK by living abroad for a year and studying alongside local students.
Year 1 and Year 2 prepare you in skills and knowledge for an optional year-long placement overseas, including study at a recognised educational institution, in a country where French is spoken.
The course focuses on active student learning, through seminars, workshops, problem- based and blended learning, designed to engage your interest and to promote your learning.
Assessment methods include essays, reports, presentations and case studies, as well as time-constrained in-class tests and exams.
