The BA (Hons) Business Management course brings together degree-level education and professional practise. Our flexible BA (Hons) Business Management degree has been co-designed with industry experts to equip you with the hands-on experience and knowledge relevant to industry allowing you to thrive in a complex, digital landscape.
All students begin their journey on the BA (Hons) Business Management degree learning the fundamentals of Business & Management – giving you that core understanding to apply to any business industry. You will then have the choice to customise your degree based on your individual ambitions and interests. For students that opt for a package of specialist modules, a specialist degree will be awarded in marketing or entrepreneurship.
For students that opt for a range of optional modules or combine modules from multiple specialist areas, a BA (Hons) Business Management degree will be awarded upon completion of the course.
This flexibility enables you to not only shape your curriculum, but the degree you receive. Choose a selection of modules including digital marketing, entrepreneurship, ESG & Sustainability, HR, work based placements, leadership & management, consumer behaviour, tech and innovation and the future of business. Despite the significant growth in AI there’s also been a growing number of roles that require direct human interaction. Business Development Managers were the 2nd most in demand occupations in the UK in 2021, closely followed by Business Management professionals and project managers,8th most in demand (2)
This degree enables you to work within a range of industries, whether major corporates, the public sector, SME’s, charities or start-ups. Graduates have gone on to set up their own businesses through the support of our innovations labs and some have gone on to become account managers, hold senior management and leadership roles in a range of national and international organisations.
The key element of this degree and is specialised pathways is that you can becoming an expert in a specialist subject such as Marketing or Entrepreneurship but you still carry with you that crucial business acumen needed in industry.
