About MA Multilingual Information Management in University of Sheffield

Course description

Building on your current language abilities, you’ll develop practical skills in website design and software localisation using industry-standard software. You can design your course to suit your interests through optional modules. Subjects range from information technology and management to intercultural communication.

This course is taught by two departments – the School of Languages and Cultures, and the Information School, Sheffield’s top-rated iSchool. • Develop strong technical skills in web content management, electronic publishing and usability.
• Develop your expertise in international project management and working as part of a multilingual team, and your knowledge of new media marketing. 
• Through optional modules you’ll have a variety of ways to explore your interests.

Entry requirements

You’ll need a 2:1 or equivalent in any subject discipline. You must also have an advanced working knowledge of two languages (CEFR B1/B2), one of which should be English.

We expect you to be familiar with Microsoft Word and email, and willing to learn more advanced packages.

English language requirements

Overall IELTS score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or equivalent.
