Our BA Live Event Production Top Up is a one year taught programme for those wishing to achieve a BA (Honours) degree in Live Event Production (Top Up). The course provides a range of opportunities for students to learn about the various practical aspects of producing live events in a supportive educational environment.
Course Details
Our Live Event Production Top-Up course is delivered by a dedicated academic team with a broad range of practical industry experiences who also have a variety of research interests related to events, particularly in the areas of event production, including project management, marketing, consumer behaviour, event impacts and legacies.
The course enables you to experience the responsibilities of delivering a live event whilst studying theory and techniques, allowing you to put your learning to practice. You will also have the opportunity to occasionally take voluntary work experience with external stakeholders. The practical element of the course allows you to develop critical employability skills desired by the industry and provides ample opportunities for self-reflection and personal and professional development.
Methods of Learning
For this course you can expect taught study to be approximately 12 hours per week through a combination of lectures, seminars and workshops. We also recommend that you spend approximately 15 hours per week in self-directed study time.
Assessments
You will be assessed through group and individual tasks including live event projects, business reports, essays, as well as oral and multi-media presentations.
