About Aerospace Engineering With A Year In Industry Meng (hons) in University of Liverpool
Choose the MEng programme if you want to follow an extended degree programme that satisfies the full academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a European Engineer (Eur Ing).
Do you want to understand how to design, build, test and fly an aircraft? We will show you how. By the end of your time at Liverpool, you will show us that you can. The main aerospace engineering topics you’ll study during your course include aerodynamics, aerostructures, flight dynamics and control, propulsion systems, avionics, aerospace materials and aircraft design.
The MEng is designed to offer students a greater depth and breadth of specialist knowledge in the core aerospace subjects with a range of advanced Year Four modules, such as Advanced Aerodynamics; Advanced Aerostructures; Flight Handling Qualities; Advanced guidance systems and Enterprise Studies. Students are then able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in the Year 4 Capstone Design Project.
All of our Aerospace Engineering degree programmes are accredited, or pending accreditation, by the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Our programmes are designed to offer students a greater depth and breadth of specialist knowledge in the core aerospace subjects with a range of advanced Year Four/Five modules. These programmes fully satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a European Engineer (Eur Ing).

- IELTS: A minimum of IELTS band 6.0–7.0, with no component below 5.5.
- TOEFL iBT: 78-88 overall with 19-Listening, Writing, Reading, 21-Speaking.
- PTE: 55-62 with minimum score of 51 in any component
