A degree in Biology offers a vast pool of career options that is constantly expanding along with new scientific discoveries, helping to combat key global challenges.
Our accredited broad-based degree sits within the School of Biology, which provides you with an understanding across the breadth of biology. Taught by experts in the field, you’ll build a broad foundation in your first year, studying core modules in organismal biology, genetics and molecular cell biology.
As you progress through your degree you can choose from a wide range of optional modules including human biology, animal behaviour, conservation, immunology, microbiology, population genetics, bioinformatics, genetic engineering and many more.
Our optional integrated Masters (MBiol) offers you an additional year of specialist training, to study advanced research topics and undertake your own extended research project.
