Our mental health nursing degree offers pre-registration training within the field. You will gain specialist skills and knowledge that will develop your ability to empower patients and their families to make informed health decisions.
Your studies will be split between theoretical and practical learning with half of each year spent on a nursing placement. As a graduate from this course, you will be able to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered mental health nurse.

Academic Entry Requirements
Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelor's)
For entry to our four-year extended degree programmes, you will need to have met the following:
- Standard XII with a minimum of 50%
- 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
For standard entry to our Bachelor's programmes, you will need to have met the following:
- Standard XII with a minimum of 60%(70% for Law, Architecture)
- 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
Some Bachelor's degrees allow advanced entry to year 2 or year 3, depending on your study history.
For advanced entry to Year 2 you will need to complete:
- Year 1 of a relevant degree with a minimum of 55%

You must show your English language skills to complete your course. Requirements vary by course and level, but the good news is, you don't have to wait to reach the required level before you apply.
Here's what you need:

For MPhil/PhD postgraduate research degrees, you need:
