International and global approaches to public health have become significant with more emphasis being placed on health and wellbeing inequalities between different countries due to disparate wealth and development.
Global health has important implications for global security. For example threatening social and economic development and generating significant challenges around migration, the global transmission of disease, health and illness and the inter-connectivity.
Health studies now proceed beyond simple local and national dimensions and people across the world and require global solutions.

We offer our students the opportunity to study this programme as a generic MSc in Global Public Health or take one of the endorsed routes.
Those who study the generic route will achieve an MSc in Global Public Health. Students who choose to specialise their studies through an endorsed route can be awarded one of the following;
- MSc Global Public Health (Child and Maternal Health),
- MSc Global Public Health (Communicable & Non-communicable Diseases),
- MSc Global Public Health (Ethics and Human Rights),
- MSc Global Public Health (Migration, Culture and Health).
