About Physiotherapy (pre-registration) Msc in University of Gloucestershire
As a Physiotherapist you can help people affected by illness, injury or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. You’ll take a ‘whole person’ approach to health – fully involving patients in their own care through education, awareness and empowerment.
On this hands-on course you’ll study the core areas of physiotherapy and apply them to clinical situations. These include clinical placements in a variety of NHS and private settings to help you prepare for your future career as a Physiotherapist. You’ll also build up valuable experience in supporting long-term condition management programmes and a musculoskeletal clinic at the university or in a local clinic. You’ll use state-of-the-art facilities – treatment rooms, rehabilitation space, a hospital ward, a skills laboratory, a biomechanics laboratory, physiology laboratories, a strength and conditioning suite, fitness suite and a simulated ‘home’ environment.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is being reviewed for approval by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). On completion of the course you will be eligible to apply to the CSP and HCPC to practice as a registered physiotherapist.
