About Operating Department Practice Bsc (hons) in University of Gloucestershire
Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) are registered health professionals trained specifically to work with the operating department and associated areas. ODPs are a vital part of the operating department team. They’re responsible for delivering safe, high-quality care to surgical patients during the three phases of perioperative care – anaesthesia, surgery and PACU perioperative care setting.
You’ll learn to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists, healthcare support workers and other professionals. When you graduate you’ll be eligible to register with the HCPC and practise as an Operating Department Practitioner.
Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate/Standard XII with a minimum of 65% from CISCE and CBSE boards.
English language requirements
- IELTS :6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band
- TOEFL IBT : 80 Reading – 20,Writing -19,Listening – 19,Speaking – 22
- PTE:56
