About Msc Professional Accountancy in University of Dundee
The MSc in Professional Accountancy is the first UK postgraduate master's qualification to combine masters level study with full professional body accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The programme is fully accredited by the ACCA, a full member of the International Federation of Accountants, which operates in countries across the world. When you graduate from this course you can claim exemptions from ACCA Fundamental Papers: F1 to F9. This means that whatever country you’re from, your advanced standing in a professional education programme will be valued by businesses across the globe.
This degree can now also boast 2 additional accreditations, further enhancing its quality and international reputation. Accreditation from the Association of International Accountants (AIA), offering graduates of the degree exemption from their foundation level (A & B) and professional level 1 (C & D) exams. Offering our students the maximum level of exemptions with the AIA.
Accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), offering graduates of the degree exemptions from 6 of their papers (5 out of the 6 Certificate Level papers + 1 professional paper).

Successful completion of this degree course enables you to claim exemption from ACCA Fundamental Papers: F1 to F9. It means that on completion, you’ll be partly professionally qualified with ACCA and can work in the accountancy profession where you may choose to complete the ACCA professional qualification.
Alternatively, ACCA professional exams can be completed full time with education providers operating in many different countries across the world.
Academic qualification equivalents

Bachelor’s degree with 55% or above considered from University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, IITs and IIMs (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)
Bachelor’s degree with 60% or above required from other institutions (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)
A Bachelor’s degree with 50% or above may be considered comparable to a UK 2.2 degree.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: The requirement for most undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is IELTS 6.5 overall with a 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 minimum in the other three components.
- TOEFL (iBT): 88 overall, including at least 21 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
- PTE: 62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills
