This course is designed to offer postgraduate education to nurses in a range of clinical environments and geographical settings. It supports both UK based and international nurses to develop personally and professionally.

It will support you to change and develop your ways of thinking, inspiring you to become an independent learner who thinks creatively to solve problems using evidence-based approaches. You will develop as a leader in a changing health care landscape, supporting you to improve health outcomes for the population you work in, reducing health inequalities and transforming lives.

There are two intakes per year (September and January), and is delivered on a modular basis over three and half years. You will undertake four taught modules (two core and two optional) that will expand your thinking and expertise in current and clinically focused topics. After completing these modules you will progress to your dissertation and you will be allocated a supervisor.  

We have an international reputation for providing flexible courses designed to offer a student-centred approach to postgraduate education. Most courses are offered on a part-time basis and delivered through high quality online distance learning. A small number of modules are also delivered partly face-to-face for locally based students.

The School of Nursing & Health Sciences operates a Recognition of Prior Learning scheme. We recognise that students applying for this course may have acquired significant learning from previous educational and life/work experience. We can offer potential students the opportunity of having such learning assessed for credit. This credit would go towards your application for this course.
