Our Foundation Entry degree courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly enter their chosen honours degree programme.

The Foundation Year provides guaranteed progression to a range of courses throughout the University. Once you’re on this course, there’s no need to make an additional application and you won’t have to attend an interview to progress to Year 1 of our Forensic Science and Molecular Biology degree (entry requirements apply).

The Foundation Year will give you the essential knowledge and understanding of theoretical and practical science skills you’ll need to succeed at degree level. We’ll support and encourage you to develop your critical thinking and gain the skills and confidence you need to thrive at University.
